Do I need to deep fry?

It’s not necessary. You will get the best results by deep frying in a fryer or a pan but you can also shallow fry the chicken and then finish it off in the oven. There are simple instructions included for both. We’ve done all the messy work for you so your chicken arrives pre-coated in our signature flour mix. 

What oil should I use ?

We recommend using rapeseed oil but you can also use sunflower oil. It depends on how you are frying but suggest about a litre for shallow fry & 2 litres for deep frying.

Do I need a food thermometer?

A food thermometer is not necessary but will be useful for checking the temperature of the oil and also the temperature of the chicken. We have some available soon to add on to your order. 

Is it difficult to prepare?

No it really is very simple. There are detailed instructions but the only mildly technical bit is the frying of the chicken.

What equipment do I need?

If you are deep frying, a fryer or a deep heavy bottomed pot. If you are shallow frying a deep frying pan. Apart from that, it’s only basic utensils you will have at home in your kitchen.

What about sustainability?

All of our packaging is either reusable or recyclable except for the vac pac bags. 

Allergens

All our chicken contains gluten and egg. There are nuts in a few of the dishes but you can do it without adding them but our kitchen handles all types of allergens so can not guarantee there are no traces.
